With the official launch of the Nothing Phone (3) just around the corner, a new leak has given us what might be our first real look at the upcoming device, and it’s definitely turning heads.
The render, shared by well-known tipster Max Jambor, shows a design that sticks to Nothing’s trademark transparent look but also introduces a few surprising changes. And the biggest one? The lights are gone.
That’s right, if this leak is accurate, Nothing has scrapped its much-hyped Glyph Interface. The LED light system on the back, which flashed and pulsed for notifications, ringtones, and charging cues on the Phone (1) and Phone (2), seems to be missing entirely from the Phone (3). According to Nothing themselves, the Glyph Interface has been “killed,” though it’s still possible there’s a more subtle lighting feature hidden in plain sight, perhaps something like a dot matrix design that isn’t visible in this image.

Either way, the decision to remove what was arguably the most distinctive visual feature of the previous models is a bold move.
There’s also something else that stands out in the leaked image: the new camera system. This time around, it looks like the Phone (3) will feature a triple-camera setup, a first for the series. The layout appears to borrow elements from both the Phone (3a) and the Phone (3a) Pro, offering a bit of a hybrid look. It’s not as minimal as the base model but doesn’t go all-in on the camera bump like the Pro either. A nice middle ground, perhaps.
The render shows the model number “A000,” which might indicate that this is still a prototype. That lines up with the fact that we’ve seen a very similar design floating around in concept videos, suggesting that Nothing might be having some fun with controlled leaks to build buzz, something they’ve done before.
As expected, fans have mixed reactions. Some are already mourning the loss of the Glyph lights, while others are intrigued by the sleeker, more grown-up design. Whether this new look is the real deal or just a teaser, it’s clear that Nothing knows how to keep people talking.
With the official reveal expected next month, we won’t have to wait long to find out what’s really in store for the Phone (3).
