JBL Tune Beam 2 Review: Feature-Packed Wireless Buds That Don’t Break The Bank

JBL has unveiled its latest Tune Series 2 lineup in India, introducing three new audio wearables, Buds 2, Beam 2, and Flex 2. Designed to cater to a variety of lifestyles and listening habits, the new range delivers a personalized audio experience for everyday use. These earbuds come packed with upgraded features such as Adaptive Noise Cancelling, enhanced audio drivers, and immersive Spatial Sound for a richer, more flexible listening experience. They also support Multi-Point Connection for easy device switching and Google Fast Pair for instant pairing with Android smartphones. We used the Tune Beam 2 for overa week and here is what we think about it.

The Tune Beam 2 sticks to the classic short-stem TWS design but opts for a minimalist aesthetic, featuring a smooth plastic build with glossy highlights on the touch-sensitive zones. Offered in black, white, and teal color options, its matte charging case resists fingerprints and fits comfortably in any pocket. With an IP54 rating, these earbuds are well-equipped to handle everyday dust exposure and intense workout sessions without missing a beat.

Right out of the box, the 10mm drivers deliver JBL’s well-known Pure Bass experience with a touch of spatial audio immersion. The sound profile favors the low end, but it manages to keep the mids and treble impressively crisp, making it enjoyable for everything from pop to podcasts.

For those who like to fine-tune their audio, the JBL Headphones app offers customizable EQ presets, Personi-Fi 3.0 audio personalization, and gesture controls, offering more flexibility than you’d typically find at this price point.

While the adaptive noise cancellation isn’t top-tier, it does a solid job at reducing everyday distractions like coffee shop chatter and traffic hum. The Ambient Aware and TalkThru features are useful additions, letting you stay aware of your surroundings or have quick conversations without needing to remove the earbuds.

With Bluetooth 5.3 and multi-point connectivity, the JBL Tune Beam 2 makes switching between devices effortless—ideal for users balancing work calls and music streaming. JBL promises up to 48 hours of total playback without ANC, and real-life usage comes pretty close. You can expect roughly 10 to 12 hours of continuous use on a single charge, with the charging case offering about three additional full recharges. Even with noise cancellation active, the earbuds comfortably power through a full day of mixed usage.

In terms of value, the Tune Beam 2 delivers well beyond expectations. It features customizable audio, smart noise handling, a secure and comfortable fit, and excellent battery performance, all housed in a minimalist, durable shell. At a price point of Rs. 5,999, it stands out as a refined and feature-rich option in a crowded market.
